First of all "It's My Michigan is a non-partisan organization. We are in no way affiliated with any local, County, State, or Federal government agency or program. "It's My Michigan" is here to help Michigan Businesses and Residents by producing beneficial programs, information and pass on alternative solutions on upcoming issues that affect Michigan.

To meet your expectations of what and how Michigan should be

strong ...safe ...economically stable ...balanced ...enjoyable ...fair ...efficient ...have the best education...have the best health care...and honest and faithful leaders that are determined to keep Michigan and our country strong and true.

To stabilize and offer financial relief to Michigan Residents

Giving them the comfort and confidence of knowing that Michigan businesses that are honoring the "It's My Michigan" Membership card are doing their part in a new restructuring process to help assure residents that they are getting the best deal for their buck. One of the reasons Michigan is failing is because no one is comfortable buying anything other than necessities. With the rising cost of fuel, business cut backs, closings, more job losses and the cost of living on the rise, people cannot spend money on what they want, only what they need. "It's My Michigan" business members are changing this by offering year round discounts to all "It's My Michigan" members.

To include Michigan residents and their opinions on important decisions that face Michigan
This can make a huge impact on how Michigan conducts its' business. With your help, by becoming an "Its' My Michigan" Member, your concerns, complaints, ideas, solutions and most of all, your support, will be used to make crucial and beneficial changes in how Michigan government conducts business...from wasteful spending practices to changing unfair laws...from wrongful legal practices to making new laws without educating or informing the public...from questionable acts by our elected officials to controlling the excessive and abusive conduct by our police and investigators...all of which will save Michigan residents tens of millions of dollars each and every year.

To Stop the foreclosure process
Finally, stop the foreclosure process due to people loosing their jobs, health issues, military obligations and/or adjustable interest rates during economic crises. Thousands of residents have already lost their homes with thousands more to follow, this only increases Michigan's economic problems. We have heard many reasons why the government should not step in and bail out the banks or why the banks shouldn't work with people who are falling behind on their mortgages. This is unacceptable and reckless. It's this kind of thinking and leadership that has put us here today. First of all, jobs are gone because of our government's decisions on fair trade agreements, which were suppose to be...you buy what we make and will buy what you make. The problem is that American businesses sent manufacturing out of the country to make American products...taking away American jobs..yet we still need to buy these necessities for our day to day existence and, ultimately supporting foreign growth. At the same time, we are also still purchasing foreign made products as a part of that trade agreement. This has caused what we have now...an economic collapse...caused by our government and our manufacturers poor decisions which we are all paying for now...big time. The people who bought into this 5 year adjustable rate loan did it to save their homes at that time. Lets look at this five years ago...business was good, interest rates were at 8-9% and a five year arm was at 6-7 %. Many people, at that time, were told by the lenders, as in the past, interest would go down and they could refinance to a lower fixed rate. This was not a reckless move. It was a strategic move. Under normal circumstances, this would have worked just fine...they kept their homes and continued to pay taxes. Due to this completely out of control fair trade agreement, jobs, by the tens of thousand, were lost or cut back, buy-outs became a way to get rid of workers so that they can hire new employees at a much lower pay rate, businesses began to feel the pinch, so they started closing and reducing where they could. Now, it's to the point where big name companies are looking to sell out to foreign countries...THIS IS NOT THE WAY. Our government must step in and stop foreclosures and repair any damage to people's credit that has been destroyed by these circumstances so that they can buy new homes.

To reinforce to our Michigan government, on all levels, that Michigan residents expect and insist on nothing less than honorable and dignified officials running our State
