"IT’S MY MICHIGAN" challenges all levels of businesses to take part in reviving and building a stronger, more efficient, Michigan.

Suppliers, Manufacturers and Distributors...by voluntarily reducing your profit margins by 5-10% or more, and retailers, restaurants, and service institutions, passing that percentage along with an additional 10 to 20% discount of their own to anyone who displays the "It’s my Michigan" members card would save Michigan members an average of $3.500.00 for a family of three per year. On its’ face, this may appear that we are asking too much of you. However, during these times, where the majority of people are struggling to find jobs, keep their homes, feed and care for their families, you would be making a sound business decision for the long term. Let me explain why? These are the same people that, in “good times,” had paid the asking price and help build many strong companies. By reducing your profits margins now, it will allow Michigan residents to purchase more products and or services from your business. This will ease the strain to survive now and it will naturally increase the need for more products, production, distribution and sales, ultimately leading to "good times” once again.

"It's My Michigan" along with you, will be fighting for a better Michigan. We are challenging business to reduce cost and bring back products that could easily be made here in Michigan. How do we plan to help you in return? We will be requesting for changes in unfair laws, outrageous sentencing for misdemeanor charges, ridiculous tickets and the reckless spending of our tax dollars, all of which have played a very large part in Michigan’s poor economy. Our State revenue that is currently being used for unnecessary legal proceedings, wrongful court appearances, probation and jail time for the innocent, the early releases of the truly guilty, along with the costly chain of events that effect our citizens’ jobs and monthly budgets, have cost Michigan millions of wasted and abused tax dollars. This is real and is getting completely out of control. What originally was used as an additional source of revenue to help purchase items to keep our court systems and police departments up to date has turned into relying on these funds for all out survival due to large cuts they have endured because of mismanaged budgets by our State Government. By addressing these areas, we will be freeing up revenue that can be used to alleviate strain elsewhere, resulting in our residents having more confidence in our future and feeling comfortable, once again, to spend more money.
